List and describe 3 key challenges that a PM may face when working in a programme. 1. PM needs to recognise the Programme manager is the sponsor 2. Working alongside other project managers 3. PM may feel distant from the end customer
1. When working on a project that is part of a larger programme the PM needs to recognise the programme manager is the sponser, and they will have control of their activities.
2. In relation to management, the project manager needs the time to liaise and work along with other project managers as there is an inter relationship between projects more complex. This requires reliance and commitment to managerial meetings and coordinating activities with others.
3. There is a distance between the project manager and the end customer. The output is delivered to the client through the programme. Adding another layer to the deliverable can produce misinterpretation and confusion unless well managed.
Remember that you get 50 marks for a full answer and up to 2 marks per sentence. So this is only three parts of an answer so would be marked out of 30.
In terms of marks, your list is good so would score the full 6 marks. Your descriptions are too brief. They are too brief and are limited to 1-2 sentences. In total, I would give you 2, 4, 6 for each paragraph. so a total of 12 / 24.
So in total, you would get 18/30 which is 60%. A pass by 4%, which is quite marginal. Try adding more detail to your answer.
