Ruth Phillips is an award-winning project and programme management professional with over 25 years of experience in leading strategic change initiatives. As Managing Director of Parallel Project Training, Ruth brings a collaborative leadership style alongside her extensive experience in facilitating, training and coaching. Having previously led Parallel’s training delivery, she continues to play an active role in developing courses, supporting trainers and shaping high-quality training programmes. Her experience across public, private and third sectors enables her to translate client needs into innovative, practical solutions.

  • Volvo Logistics (UK): Managed the PMO governing European logistics flow initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • FGI Limited: Developed and implemented a strategy to transition FGI into an accredited training organization, managing a team of consultants and overseeing quality assurance for training delivery.
  • The Project Hub Limited: Directed key strategic projects, including the development of a bespoke competency framework for BAE Systems IT PMO and training delivery for a national aviation authority.

Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) in Classics from Durham University.
  • Certified in PRINCE2® Professional, Practitioner, and Trainer; Agile Project Management Practitioner and Trainer; MSP®, MoP®, M_o_R®, ITIL® Service Management Expert, among others.
  • APMG Certified STAR® Manager Practitioner.
