Adrian has an extensive record of achievement in the project management environment both as a practising project manager, and also as a widely respected consultant and trainer within the discipline. He offers the following skills and attributes:
- Direct experience of the management of a variety of high profile national and international infrastructure projects, in both client and supplier roles.
- Wide ranging academic (post-graduate) and professional qualifications in the discipline of project management.
- Broad experience as a consultant to a range of UK clients advising, supporting and training their project management communities.
- Contributed to the development of the profession by writing a number of published articles and arranging open seminars.

Key Achievements:

The logistical, technical, commercial and cultural aspects of these endeavours provided a major project management challenge.
Adrian then successfully stepped into the academic sector where he developed and delivered the “People in Projects” module of the M.Sc. in Project Management at Leeds Met. University. His wealth of practical experience and natural communication skills made him a popular and valued member of the academic team.
Stepping back into the commercial sector, Adrian now offers consultancy and training in the field of project management to various corporate clients such as Transport for London, Scott Wilson and Thames Water.
About Doncaster
A large minster town in South Yorkshire, Doncaster is named after the river Don which flows through it; it is the second largest town in South Yorkshire after Sheffield. Doncaster is famed for its racing and is home to one of the oldest racecourses in the world. It is also host to the Doncaster Cup and the St. Leger Stakes – two famous horse races. Attending a project management course in Doncaster you will find it to be a very accessible location.
Transport
Doncaster benefits from a robust transport network making it very easy to travel to. Doncaster Sheffield Airport (formerly known as Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield) is an international airport which is located just 6 miles southeast of Doncaster. Doncaster is easily accessed via excellent motorway links, which include the M1, M18, A1, M62 and M180, all of which place it at the heart of the UK’s motorway route and make it easily accessible from all over the country. As well as a great local transport network which makes it easy to get around Doncaster there is also a centrally located bus interchange which has a link to the train station. There are fast and frequent mainline train services linking Doncaster to the rest of the UK – Sheffield is just 22 minutes away, Manchester 1 hour 20 minutes and London King’s Cross just 1 hour 28 minutes.
Some project management training courses can last several days, so you will want to find a hotel nearby to stay in for the duration of your course. Doncaster has a good selection of suitable 4-star hotels to consider.

If you fancy trying somewhere a little special, then, unfortunately, you will have to travel a little distance as the closest Michelin star restaurants to Doncaster are situated on the outskirts of Sheffield. However, Jöro offers an incredible menu that is worth travelling for. This stylish but simple Michelin star restaurant has tasting menus that mix Asian, New Nordic and British cuisine to create flavour sensations.
Entertainment
The social scene in Doncaster is on the quiet side; however, that doesn’t mean that there still isn’t plenty to do. Doncaster has a cinema and two good-sized theatres, including Cast. A jewel in the crown for Yorkshire, this very new venue offers a range of more contemporary offerings.
There are plenty of pubs in and around the centre of the town, offering plenty of Yorkshire charm as well. In addition to the more traditional pub that you might expect, there are also a couple of bars that offer more specialised beers. The Ukrainian Centre in Doncaster is also home to The Roots Music Club, a venue offering music from Folk to Blues and beyond.
