The APM have announced an update to their ChPP standard, which will be rolled out in 2023. You can find more information on the APM website; https://www.apm.org.uk/chartered-standard/
The name, status and rigour of the chartered standard will remain the same as the current edition. Here are key dates you’ll need to know if you’re thinking of applying:
- 17 March 2023 – final opportunity to apply or re-sit under the current standard*
- Spring 2023 – updated standard published
- 22 May 2023 – Applications open
*after this date, all current applications will be deleted
The implications of this are that any applications currently underway, either with Parallel programme support or otherwise will need to hit the 17th March 2023 application date as a hard-stop.
The new standard will be released sometime during ‘Spring 2023’ but it is unclear what exactly this means. The next opportunity to apply for Chartered will not be until 28th July 2023.
So, at Parallel we have taken the decision to run one programme of support for anyone wishing to target the 17th March date, by offering a start-up webinar (1 day) on the 13th January 2023, with our tutors to provide email support to review applications up to 17th March. We will then offer a 1 day group exam preparation workshop late March and individual interview preparation once an applicant has been advised of their APM interview date. Our current self paced offering is still available up to 17th March 2023 and will then be withdrawn.
